Son On The Water

This is someone's son on the water,

just not mine. Near my home there

is this lovely big lake and when the

leaves are just coming out, so do

youngsters who stand mesmerized

by the warm sun on their young

shoulders.

Garden Music

4" x 6" Oil $150.

The lush surroundings seem to inspire his

notes. They float on the warm air, wrapping

around the thick foliage, a display of every

green imaginable. And he, is he Pan? He

plays for us as long as we wish to listen.

On The Steps

4" x 6" Oil $100.

In rainy half-light we waited on the steps of the

National Gallery in Washington, D.C. It was a

sort of magical time with everything just so for

only the shortest while. Then suddenly came

nightfall.

Art Show Friends

This painting is of a few of my artist friends

attending a show. It was fun to try to capture

their looks without trying to paint portraits. I

was gratified that some recognized themselves!

I was even more pleased with the effects I was

able to get for all the paintings in such a small size.

Someone commented "Oh that's the teacup show"

and they were right!

the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C.

It accompanied a spectacular Cezanne exhibit

that it was my great privilege to see.

The Old Sled

This nostalgic scene was set out

on the porch of a neighbor. The

sled was so familiar a shape to me

that I didn't realize at first that it

is now an antique.

been an unexpected gift from one of my students.

I was able to utilize touches of gold oil paint - not

something I can use very often!
