Waiting for wine!

This glass of remarkable reflections is
an 18 x 24 painting I have underway.
It is on a panel and the glass itself is
9" x 12". I did that in order to really
have those reflections show up! And it
is way more fun to paint it. I took this
shot just before wine was served at
dinner...so you see the reflections on
the inner concave section of the glass
and the outer convex side facing the
window. Looks like European buildings,
but it is actually one of our more
wonderfully preserved towns of
Frederick, Maryland.
Oh yes, and this is about mid-way in
the process. It's not done yet!

Could have fooled me! I wish I had more practice with reflections in glass. It's fun to do and a real challenge to get things just right.

Maybe the sequel to this could be, "More, please!" with drops of wine remaining and lipstick on the side of the glass.

Wow! That looks amazing. I admire anyone who can paint (or draw, or both - I'm a photographer, myself :) )

I've just been skimming your blog (got here from google) have you ever considered selling your art on http://etsy.com ? I have a few shops there and it's a good venue if you've got a few minutes to put into it :)

I hope you're having a great day! Keep up the good work, I may be back :D
